Madd Style Cosmetics: All Nighter Glam!

Hi All!

Today brings you another "talkie" tutorial from the land of me!  :)  As I mention in the intro to the tutorial, I recently posted this look in the Facebook group for Madd Style Cosmetics (if you are an MSC lover and aren't part of the group yet--you should request to join!  Click here to do so!) and was asked to do a tutorial.  I have a hard time saying no to those ladies and so the tutorial I made!

In the original look I used one product that wasn't MSC and thus the replica look is not exactly the same.  The MSC purple I chose is more of a smoky purple (and not as bright as the purple in the original look), but I do like the resulting look.  A brighter MSC purple would have also been fun (something like "Amethyst", which is no longer available, or maybe "Kablammy!") and might get you a bit closer to the original look, should you want to do so.

If you want to find out how I put together this look:

Then please, click "play"!

In case you missed any of the supplies I used, here they are again:

(Products from left to right: MSC "Pop N Lock" base; MSC "Optimus Primer"; The All Natural Face "Vegan Black Eyeshadow Primer"; The All Natural Face "Fix-it" spray; Urban  Decay 24/7 Glide-on pencil in "Zero"; LUSH's "Independent" gel liner; Milani Power Lash mascara in "Black"; Madd Style Cosmetic Piggies (top to bottom): All Nighter, Grape Fizz, Be Fearless and Play and Columbia; stiff blending brush, flat shader brush, pointed crease brush, angled liner brush; fluffy crease/blending brush; fluffy shader brush; pointed pencil brush; Miss Adoro #307 lashes (they are "half" lashes).)

Thank you, as always, for dropping by my blog and tuning into my tutorials.  Hopefully this has inspired you to do a glam look of your own.  :)

EOTD: Fun with Liner

*waves good evening to all her readers*

Today was a long day at work.  What better way to relax once you're back at home than to play with some eyeliner??  ;)

The wonderful Phlox over at EyeGraffiti suggested the other day that I create a look with some bold liner.  I had an idea that struck me after dinner tonight, so I had to give it a try.  It didn't come out exactly as planned--in my head I was going to do triple liner (there was going to be a tiny black wing, but then I ran out of room for it!)!  But this still came out well enough that I figured I'd share it.  I'm not finished with my bold liner looks though!  Be on the look out for more.

Product used:

  • Pure Fusion Eyeshadow Primer applied all over the lid and up to the brow
  • The All Natural Face Black Eyeshadow primer applied to the lid and blended out toward the crease
  • Madd Style Cosmetics "Beauty School Dropout" applied over the lid
  • Inglot Matte Eyeliner Gel in #87 for the first wing
  • Sugarpill "Goldilux" mixed with some Indelible Eyeliner Sealant by Aromaleigh and applied for the second wing.  Also applied under the lower lash line.
  • Sugarpill "Tako" applied to the inner duct
  • Madd Style Cosmetics "Birfday Suit" for a brow highlight and blended down into "Beauty School Dropout"
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in "Zero" to line the upper and lower waterlines
  • Milani Power Lash mascara in "Black"
I *think* that's all I used...*thinks more*...yeah!  That's it!

What are your favorite liners to play with??  :)

EOTD: Madd Style Cosmetics + Sugarpill

Today I had a few goals I wanted to accomplish...and guess what?  I accomplished them all!  I had it in my head that I wanted to do a smoky purple look using Sugarpill's "Hysteric" and I also wanted to dip into Madd Style Cosmetics's "All Nighter".  I also had an inkling that I wanted to play around with a pair of my Sugarpill false eye lashes.

This is what became of all of my goals being accomplished:

(Taken in natural light, for once!)

(The obligatory "camera focuses on the awesome lashes" pic.)

Products used:

  • Madd Style Cosmetics "Optimus Primer" applied all over the lid
  • NYX Eyeshadow Base in "White" applied all over the lid
  • The All Natural Face "Black Eyeshadow Primer" applied to the lid and blended up to the crease
  • Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in "Zero" to line the lower lash line as well as upper and lower waterlines
  • Madd Style Cosmetics "All Nighter" (foiled with the All Natural Face "Fix-It") applied all over the lid and along the lower lash line
  • Sugarpill "Hysteric" applied to the outer crease and blended in with "All Nighter"
  • Madd Style Cosmetics "Be Fearless and Play" applied to the inner crease and blended in with "Hysteric"
  • Madd Style Cosmetics "Columbia" for a brow highlight (blended down into "Be Fearless and Play" and "Hysteric") and applied lightly onto the duct area
  • Lush "Independent" Gel Liner applied to the duct, inner part of the lower lash line, and along the entire upper lash line
  • Gabriel Color Mascara in "Black" applied to upper lashes
  • Sugarpill "Precious" lashes applied with Duo lash adhesive
That that is that!  Nothing like a dark and stormy look for a Monday afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed this EOTD.  :)
