EOTD: Sugarpill Colourful!

Good Evening!!

Yesterday I had the idea of a yellow, blue and purple look and all night last night and all day today--it was really all I could think about!!  (Okay, maybe not *all* I could think about...but seriously.  I had to do it today, especially before I forgot about the idea!!)

Using my lovely Sugarpill products, this is what I came up with:

( Blurry...or at least not the lashes--but I think this shows the intensity of the lid colours well!)

  Product used:

  • MTCoffinz "Under the Rainbow" eye primer
  • NYX Eyeshadow Base in "White"
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in "Yeyo" to line the duct and lower lash line
  • Korres Soft Eyeliner Pencil in "24" to line the waterline
  • Sugarpill "Buttercupcake" on the lid
  • Sugarpill "Afterparty" in the crease and as a thick winged liner
  • Sugarpill "Poison Plum" to blend out the "Afterparty"
  • Sugarpill "Magpie" applied on the deepest part of the crease, as a "thinner" winged liner and along the lower lash line
  • Sugarpill "Tako" for a brow highlight
  • Sugarpill "Bulletproof" to darken the upper lash line (kept it VERY close to the lashes so as to not interfere with the blue)
  • Sugarpill "Lumi" in the duct
  • Sugarpill "Afterparty" to set the waterline
  • Milani Power Lash mascara
The end!

This was my first time using Magpie, and I gotta say--I love it!  What is *your* favorite Sugarpill product?? :)

    2. I always think I need more SP, then kick myself after I pass up another sale. Lumi and Magpie may be my first buy...once this no-buy is over :)

    3. I was never all that interested in Magpie, for some reason. But then I got it in my last order and yep--love at first sight! Lumi is definitely another keeper!

I find myself wishing I had bought Decora on my last order. Guess it'll just have to wait for next time!

    1. Ha ha ha! That is fine by me, lady! Also--I totally can't figure out how your comments work. I get email notifications of them and I can reply to them (obviously), but I can't actually "see" them on my blog. You're obviously in the Twilight Zone. ;)

  3. This is so gorgeous! I love how bright it is, but also soft. You did a great job blending! I also like how you combined the matte shadows with shimmery ones. Buttercupcake shows up so strong on your lid, it's insane!! My favorite SP product is probably.. well I only have a few but I do love my Burning Heart palette, or more specifically, Flamepoint eyeshadow. It's such an amazing orange which is hard to find, in my opinion. ;)

  4. Thank you, Emily!!  :)  It came together pretty well, I thought!  And yes--I really *packed* Buttercupcake on!

Flamepoint is a good choice!  I wish Sugarpill would come out with a vegan orange.  I would so be all over that!!  :)

  6. This looks awesome! This is a little off topic, but I recently ordered a bunch of EcoTools brushes and have just now stumbled onto Bdellium brushes. Since you have both, would you be willing to do a comparison of your vegan brushes or give thoughts on them? It would be really helpful to a lot of us looking into buying eco-friendly vegan brushes! Thanks :)

  7. Thanks!  The blue on the waterline was a fun thing, indeed!  Gotta love Afterparty!  :)

I will definitely try out Magpie as a liner--I bet that I'd love it.  And Lumi and Starling are great choices!!  I know I'm not alone when I say that I'd love for Sugarpill to come out with a whole range of the rainbow spectrum, but just like Lumi.  Could you imagine how awesome that would be?!!!

  8. Hi!  Thanks!  And yes, I sure could.  The only officially "branded" ecotools brushes that I have are the mini travel set and honestly, I do not reach for them very often.  My bdellium tools, on the other hand--I use very often.  I especially like that cylinder that they come packaged in because it makes traveling with them SO easy.  You will always know that none of the bristles will get bent out of place.  Another brand that I would certainly recommend as they are one of my other favorite eco friendly vegan brush sets are the Royal & Langnickel "Silk Green Line" brushes.  If I do pick up any full-sized Ecotools in the near future I will be sure to do a comparison though!!

(One brand I haven't tried yet, but I am kind of itching to are the Everyday Minerals brushes.  Have you any of those ones?? Here's the link in case you haven't: http://www.everydayminerals.com/store/color/brushes.html)

  9.  I will definitely consider the "Bambu" line of Bdellium brushes after I try out the Ecotools. I'm especially excited to get this brush
     http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032CDFCS/ref=oh_o04_s00_i00_details
which I've heard is great for foundation and powders. Seeing your brush sets make me want to start my own collection. Dangerous! The Everyday Minerals brushes look great as well.
I really wish vegan bamboo handled brushes were more popular because I have yet to see an in depth comparison of all the leading synthetic eco-friendly brands - people usually just compare them to Mac brushes.

Thanks for your help though! Hoping to see a brush comparison in the future ;)
